Demolition Derby

We found out that Malad was having a demolition derby in September and we were thrilled!  It was high time to introduce our daughters to this awesomeness!
It happened to be on the same night as the Women's General Meeting for church.  I decided quality time with my in-laws was more important and that we could listen to the meeting on our ride home the next day.  My sister in law, Jen decided to go to the meeting instead of the derby.
Maddie and Lindsay decided to go with her.
(It was super rainy and cold and they decided a warm cozy building and shakes at the Drive In after sounded like more fun).
As we sat waiting for the derby to start - a half hour late - I felt super guilty for not going with my girls.  What good little examples they were for all of us!  (Lindsay took amazing notes that she read to me when I got home).
Once the derby finally got started, it was pretty dang cool.  Lexi loved it, even if it was super loud!  Macie tolerated it.  We happened to have a row of guys sitting in front of us that usually drive in derbies but didn't do this one.  It was fun to ask them lots of questions about what was going on.  I'm feeling a lot smarter now about them.

 Good quality sibling bonding time

While we were there, Lindsay surprised us all and decided she was done having the longest hair in her class!  She cut off 12 inches which we donated to Locks of Love.  Kind of miss all that hair.  :(
