Maddie has been trying to grow her hair out for locks of love, but we both gave up the day after Christmas. I'd had it with brushing it out, and she was tired of it, too! So, we had Aunt Tera cut it off. We got about 7 inches off. Maddie was so excited! She kept telling people, "It's really just Maddie under this short hair!" Lindsay was a little concerned while it was going on, but climbed up in the chair when Maddie was done, so Tera humored her and trimmed a little.

Christmas!
We hope you all have a wonderful Christmas! We love you all and are so grateful for each of you and the happiness you bring into our lives. Happy Holidays!
After 2 tries at the portrait studio with no great pictures, I took matters into my own hands. There is no way to get all 3 smiling at once, but I like this one. I don't know who threw the biggest fit about the hat on Macie - her or Jeramy!

Bah humbug!
For those of you that haven't heard about our super great day yesterday, here ya go! I had the kids up and ready to run some errands, got in the car and the battery was dead...again. Another light left on. Our jumper cables won't reach when it's in the garage. So I called the Weeks for their charger that works, but it was with Jennica's sister. Bummer. So I came in and was surfing the net killing time and pulled up our bank account. I was totally shocked to see that we have been making purchases in California! About 650$ worth. What a mess! Jeramy had to come home from work so we could go to the bank, but all of us won't fit in the Civic, so we had to pawn Maddie of on our neighbor. Kerry met us at the bank and took the 2 little ones. The bank made me call Oakland CA Police and they were not so helpful. I was told to come home and file a complaint on the internet to get a case started. That turned out to be just a form to fill out and MAIL back in. I went back to the bank today and they decided that it wasn't worth waiting on the police report, so the went ahead and started the refund process. I'm so glad! But it will still be about 10 days before we get it back. Merry Christmas to us! We still have no idea how they got our debit info. We both had our cards, and are very cautious about who we give it out to on the internet. They had an actual card they were using.
Anyway, that was a really long story. I can't post without a picture though, so here's a picture that kind of sums up the day. Macie didn't enjoy her time at Kerry's and threw a royal fit, then I made Amy cut her hair anyway and that didn't go over very well at all with Macie. We had never seen her so upset! But to make Kerry feel better, she did it again today with me around the same time, too! I think she must have been super tired.

Christmas
It's finally feeling like Christmas. Sunday night we went for a drive to look at lights. For those of you that live close by, there's a house over by Highland/Alpine that you must go see. They have it set to music and it's pretty cool. My kids didn't want to leave. If you leave our neighborhood and head towards Alpine (or Fox Hollow for those of you with kids :), turn right at the new Sinclair and you will be able to see it from there. I believe that we turned on the first left. Anyway, give it a try!
Maddie built this snowman all by herself yesterday. It took her almost an hour and she was so proud. I was just glad to have her play outside instead of watch TV all day! She also fed Macie for me last night. It was funny. They both giggled and giggled. Not much went in though!

New Moon
For my Twilight friends, I read the second one Sunday. Lucky me, I got the stomach flu that the girls had, so I got to stay in bed all afternoon and read. Jeramy had to laugh. I said, "I'm just not sure how I feel about werewolves, it's kind of ruining it for me." He says, "But you're fine with the vampires, though?" Kind of dorky of me. And for Brooke's comment about feeling like you're part of it, I totally agree! AND in this book I was - Heidi - the vampire lady in Italy. YIKES!

Maddie
Thanks, Kerry!
Kerry gave the girls a gingerbread house to decorate. I have loved the smell all week. They had a GREAT time making it. I gave them creative liberty, so it is...one of a kind. Lindsay ate more than she put on the house, but that's part of the fun, right?
AND, Jeramy has been down in the basement all afternoon working on the baseboards! I'm so excited! MAYBE we can get our carpet next week. It's only been a year coming...
