Promises...

It is nice to have walls, BUT... we were told it would be done in 2 days tops. Now it's spreading to 4 days or longer. We're really going to push this guy to get it done Friday so I can paint. He was supposed to be here yesterday at 10, didn't get here until 1:30 after I called 3 times. He had to stop because it was too dark around 6 to work down there and said it won't be dry enough to work again until 2 today, then again on Friday. I think we were told just what we wanted to hear to get the job. Now things have changed.
I ran for the HOA (home owners association) board last night and won. I'm excited to be more involved in our community. Hopefully it won't be too much work. It should be 1 meeting a month and I will have to do a newsletter quarterly for our neighborhood. (218 homes). It's a 3 year term, I hope I survive!

We have walls!

Well, from 10 months being stuck on our basement, we made a LOT of progress yesterday. I guess I should say WE did not make progress, but our contractor did. His crew had the sheet rock hung in 4 hours! We are getting our mud and tape today. Sanding and texturing tomorrow. Yeah! Then I get to paint Friday and Saturday. AND I'm so excited that the game was canceled Saturday so I'll get a little more help - hopefully. Our house is so dusty! I figured I'd better wait another day to clean everything up.

Happy 3 Months!

Macie is 3 months old today. Thought I would post a picture of each of our sweet girls at 3 months. Didn't realize how much hair we were really working with until I saw these!

Scrapbooking

I've decided that I need to take time for me each day, so I've neglected my kids for the past hour and made this page. It's been too long since I've scrapbooked. Had a great time, and my kids survived. Infact, they did much better without me.

City Kids

You guys post all the fun places you go. Well, 1.5 miles from our house is about as far as we venture out these days.
We learned about farm animals in preschool this week, so we went over to Thanksgiving Point's petting zoo. (Yes, for my family in Malad, we paid money to pet farm animals). My kids were a bit wimpy to say the least. Lindsay wanted nothing to do with any of them. Maddie was freaking out when this cow was touching the stroller, and she wouldn't get anywhere near the goats because someone told her that goats will eat your clothes. She jumped right on when it came time to ride the horse though. Lindsay was content to sit in the stroller and watch, and Macie didn't even know we left the house.

First Toy!

Is there anything cuter than a half-dressed, crazy hair, cross eyed baby? M is always sucking on her hands and staring at them, so last night we held out a toy and she grabbed it! My big girl!
