Lindsay usually starts planning for her birthday the day after her previous birthday. This year on August 20, I said, "Lindsay, it's a month until your birthday and I don't have a list yet!" She had a list made for me within the hour. She got everything on her list except for a hamster and her room painted pink.
I always go and eat lunch with my kid on their birthday. This birthday was so much fun! We had to eat outside because the gym was being used for something else AND Macie got to have lunch time with us. Super fun to sprawl out on the grass and chat with all these cute girls!
The day before her birthday was also the egg drop at school. With Jeramy being at school, I was left in charge of creating an indestructible egg holding device...it didn't go so well. :(
Two things that Lindsay asked for was lots of candy and money. She got $9 and lots of candy. She was thrilled!
She asked if she could frost and decorate her own cake...of course! She had a blast making it just how she wanted it.
She also had a soccer game on her actual birthday. She played great and when she was done, we went to Texas Roadhouse - a Lindsay's birthday tradition. Before we could go in, she whipped out an extra outfit and changed in the car. Birthday girls apparently can't wear uniforms to their birthday dinner. She was mortified when she realized she forgot shoes and had to wear her cleats.
I. Love. Lindsay.
She can be so thoughtful. She still loves playing school in her room after school if she's not hanging out with Halle, Emma and Maggie. She is all about fashion and loves to help pick out outfits for everyone - even when they don't ask for help. She's doing really well in school this year and reading is finally all "Clicking" and she'll actually read to me now. Last year it was like pulling teeth to get her to read to me.
So grateful to have her in our family!
